Visciola
Visciola is a dessert wine native to the Marches region of Italy, made exclusively from our quality Lacrima di Morro D’Alba red wine and co-fermented with the deliciously enticing species of “Visciole” wild cherries.
History traces visciola back to Medieval times where the sweet wine was served at special occasions or was served as a dessert wine to nobility and clergy, calling it “Wine of the angels”.
This really is one of the niche products available at our winery, and one that has been closely guarded by the Le Marche territory over many centuries as once tasted, the tantalising elixir is rarely forgotten.

Liqueur Pairing
This liquor is usually enjoyed as a deliciously moorish digestif. However, it is also the perfect ingredient for transforming a regular dessert idea into something more interesting. Below is a list of principle dishes we recommend accompanying this liquor:
- Cherry and visciola mascarpone tart
- Vanilla ice-cream topped with a shot of Visciola
- Cooked Pair soaked in vishiola and pear juice
